My Summer Vacation

This summer I did many fun things and worked on three
projects. The first project I worked on was a masonry
oven
for my mom. Me and this guy named Jimmy worked on it.
My favorite project is my computer ,it will have
16gb of memory 32 ram and 5200mhs motherboard.
and my third project is wolverine claws. Later I'll
post the instructions on how to make them. I have not completed these projects, but will post pictures when I do.

This summer I also went a boyscout camping trip to
Honokaia. At the camp I only got four hours of sleep
each night, but I earned three merit badges.I was also
the honor camper in our troop, and our troop
alone ate 50+ ice cream bars, and there are only four people
in our troop. The worst thing that happened is that
three boys went to the emergency room, and one of them
was my friend.

Also, my cousins came from Kansas. They stayed at my great grandmas house, and we had a party one night. One night we had to break in because she had gone to the Emergence Room, and had locked the doors.(Grandma is fine now)We had lots of fun, and we even went to Kona a few times and visited some beaches. The day before they left we visited Akaka Falls but it was raining so we went and climbed a Banyan tree. That night we had a party at great grandmas house, and in the morning we took our cousins to the air port and waved goodbye.

This Summer I also worked on my friend's aquaponics farm. We moved an even bigger
rock than last time, and we needed a carjack to lift it. We also got rid of about 7 million tad poles
from the system.
I can now hunt legally since I took a hunter education class, my score for the test was 92 out of 100.
This summer I had a few sleep overs, and
I stayed up till morning doing one game of battleship.

One of the best things I did this summer was go kayaking down in Waipio Valley with our friends Mike and Kristina. They also got married that day.

At the end of the Summer I went to Coconut Island, and I jumped off the tower a few times with my friend.

Sister's Birthday

A few days ago we went to Kona for my sisters birthday.
We stayed in the mauna kea beach hotel for one night, and
we had a wonderful time playing with friends and kayaking.
We did not bring cake so we went, and bought some cup
cakes at the store, and the dye in them turned our poo
green.

After we checked out of the hotel we went to the
Romano's Macaroni Grill ,and there's only one thing I have
to complain about, DON'T GO THERE IF YOUR LACTOSE INTOLERANT.
After diner we went to star bucks and my mom got a coffee
and we started home.On our way back we saw a car had run
into some trees, and there were two police cars there
with their lights flashing.

Hapuna Beach

Yesterday I went to Hapuna beach, and spent the whole day swimming.
We went with my Mom's friend Rachel, and my sisters friend Arah,
and had a lot of fun.At the beach we found 3 caves, and one of them
had pee in it.While we were there, I got an inch long thorn in my foot
and, I had my face smashed on the ground by a wave. After we were done,
we went and had pizza, ice cream, and went home.We are going back in 2 weeks
for my sisters B day, and I still haven't gotten a present for her.

These are popovers that my grandma made for us
and are very good.Popovers are so good that
I will give you the recipe.although I give
credit to the chef that made the recipe.
You have to have these items,
large muffin tin or special popover thingy
1 1/4 cup flour,1/4 tsp salt,
3 large eggs 1 1/4 cup milk,2 tbsp unsalted
butter cut into 6 or 12 even pieces
depending on how many slots you have for
popovers in your tin tray,
1 tbsp butter melted.
Here's what you have to do.
Grease the popover pan,
preheat the oven to 400f,
heat pan 2 min,
blend flour salt eggs milk and melted butter
for 1 to 2 min, take pan out, and put one pad
of butter in each cup then put pan back in
and melt butter, when the butter is
melted pour in batter, and fill
half way up then put it in the oven for 20
to 25 min. After that, set oven to 300f
and set timer for another 20 to 25
min. After you take them out, (for the 2 time)
make a slit in the popover, and enjoy with jam
or any thing you like (preferably something
edible!!!).

Mauna Kea

This is a picture of the observatory on Mauna Kea,
and I must say it is very beautiful.I might even
go up there soon with the boy scouts in some
kind of parade or something. It will also be
the first time I've ever gone to the top,
I almost got to go to the top once, but the road
was closed.

Speaking of Mauna Kea I even know the the photographer
his name is Byron Matthews, and he is a very skilled
photographer, he even took the photos of the lava.
By the way he is my cousin, and is a very good
at Halo don't even think of trying to beat him
same with my Dad.

My Sister

This is my sister, she is very sweet and reliable.
She is always there when I need her, and She can
always bring a smile to my face. Her favorite animal
is a horse, and her favorite thing to do is climb
trees.

Then there's me, my sister says I'm caring and protective.
She also thinks I'm funny and nice to have around.
My favorite animal is a peregrine falcon, and my
favorite thing to do is play computer games, and
I like to hike.

Yesterday we went to the volcano National Park with some friends of ours.
When they came to pick us up from our office they were apologizing because
they were late, but we told them that we were happy they were late because
we were late too. When we got to the park we were greeted by this park ranger
who had the longest nose hairs on earth, and he tried guessing that we were
here to get our Junior ranger badges, but everyone had at least two.

After our other friends came we went on a guided tour of the park, and saw
some birds too. After the tour we went to have our lunch at one of the camping
spots. After we were done we went to Bird Park, and we only saw 3 birds, and my
sister claims to have seen 13(big eye role)anyway, we saw a hollowed out tree
that you could stand in and I even took a picture of it.

LAVA!!!!!

I had this idea where instead of making landfills and stuff
like that.We could throw our trash in the lava. This would
be a very eco way to get rid trash, you could even put a
thin layer of tin on it to reduce smoke.Of course not
every one would agree to this idea so it would depend on
how many people voted for it.

By the way, I might get to have a flying lessen tomorrow, and I'm
really excited. My teacher said that I might get to use the rudder
this time because he was going to bring more cushions for me to
sit on.Flying a plane in my opinion is way safer than driving a
car because there is nothing to crash into, unless you have
a death wish. The pilot I'm flying with has landed a plane
without an engine, and I have seen a clip on the internet
where this guy landed a plane on one wing, and lived. So, if
you're in a plane, you have pretty good chances, unless your
plane just spontaneously combusts.

POTATO CANON!!!!!!!!!

There, I finally got the photos of my potato canon, and now all I
have to do is get some potatoes.I'm not actually firing the canon,
and yes I'm in my pjs.If I had actually fired my canon that
close to my Grandma's house, she would freak out.

Just 2 days ago, we went to Shipman beach, and we saw 2 turtles
although one of them was dead. When we where done playing
and about to leave ,a bee stung me on the bottom of my foot and
I had to walk three miles on it.

First flight

On Monday I had a flying lesson, and the teacher let me fly the plane.
It totally freaked me out at first, but I eventually got the hang of it.
When I first started flying the plane, I was kind of swerving around
,and I was going off course, but it was pretty easy after only
10 minutes, I was flying strait and level.Somewhere in the middle of
the flight, we had some turbulence, and I got to experience zero gravity
.We also got to see some whales leaping out of the water, I
didn't get good pictures though, because we were 1,000 feet in the air.
After we landed the pilot said I did a good job, and he gave me a log book.

Compass

As you know I'm in the boy scouts and last Friday we got to do a compass
search using coordinates that our scout master made. The first
coordinate he gave us led us to a film canister that had more
coordinates leading to six other film canisters. We were going to do a
lesson on sharpening knives, but we ran out of time and we went home.

By the way, our other scout master was in Europe and now she is back
and we are planing on doing a box car race soon.So we are going to
be making them this weak.Later, we are planing to go on a camp out,
and have different activities like races and games.

video/cannon

this is a short video I made using stick fig animation software and it took me
half an hour to do.I'm very pleased with how it came out the monster was
from a earlier movie i made that played for an hour and it took me
three hours to make.Unfortunately it got deleted off the computer
and I'm now working on making the new version.
I also had a matrix movie that also played for an hour and it even
had a bullet time scene in it.

By the way I might be getting potato's today.Meaning I'll be able to get you
pictures of potato's flying through the air.
(Video will be available soon, experiencing technical difficulties.)

Potato Cannon

A few week's ago I finished making my potato CANNON with my dad,and I can't
wait to fire it.The potato cannon is 7ft long, and can hurl a potato 100yrds, and rip holes in plywood. My Grandpa is very worried, but as long as the igniter doesn't blow
out of the holder it should be safe.
There are two types of fuel you can use, there's propane and hairspray,
propane is more flammable, but more dangerous, and sometimes it can break
the wall of your cannon. In my opinion, hairspray is better for various
reasons like you won't shoot flaming potato bits everywhere, and your
cannon won't blow up, and you won't be knocked down from the force of the
explosion in the combustion chamber. By the way don't worry I will have
pictures soon.

Waipio Valley

This is us, during the hike to Waipio as you can see, it doesn't look to hard, but wait
till you have to come back up the hill, I mean MOUNTAIN!! When I got back up to the top of Waipio I looked down at my legs and I could see blood running down them, and upon further inspection I saw that I had bleeding blisters going up and down my legs.By the way those other people in the picture are my friend's, and they went on the hike too, and none of them got blisters, I was the only one who did.
When we got to the bottom of the road, and we were in the valley by the beach
the first thing we all did was sit down in the water and rest. After we were done
resting (thanks to a wave that came a bit to sudden)me and my friend crossed the river, and started to fight the waves. After about 30 min. of unsuccessful battling we started to get a rash, decided to head back to the parents, and then we went back
up the cliff occasionally chasing a car, here and there up the cliff. One car raced
us, and we almost won since they couldn't drive up the cliff very fast for fear of
having their brakes go out, and go crashing down the cliff, and dieing.

Halloween

There's my pumpkin having razor eye surgery(he he he get it)razor eye surgery.
Yeah, like kids can actually get their masters degree in surgery.
Anyway, my pumpkin ended up blind, and hated me for the rest of his short life.

This is my outfit for Halloween, and don't worry, the gun is not loaded.
In fact, the gun is fake.At the party we went to, there were lots of games, and food, and trunk or treat. When we first got there, I was trying to disguise my identity, to trick my friend, but my sister blabbed to everyone, so my disguise was totally ruined.By the way my sister is the one in the hula skirt not me, although
I think the hula skirt would be less inconspicuous than me with a gun
and mask.

PARADE!!!

This is me during an earthquake.Did I fool you? It's actually me in a parade, and
the photographer was tilting the camera.

It was the 2008 Christmas parade in my home town,
and we had these Scrabble(Tm)letters and every once in a while we would mix
up the letters and and then reform it kind of got annoying towards the end
when your hustling around for two people but it was fun anyway.
The trip back was very hard all uphill, and I had already done the whole
parade in another town for Operation Christmas Child.Anyway we kind of freaked out when we got to the car, and
tried to leave and we found the gate locked.Actually, I freaked out.
The car was on the opposite side of the gate. When we got inside the
car we all slumped down pooped(tired). When I finally got
home, I walked inside, and wham! My SISTER SLAMS me with, "you need to go feed the chickens in the poring rain!" (aren't GIRLS sweet
)

Snow

About a month ago, we went to Mauna Kea because it was snowing very hard up there.
Unfortunately, it was snowing so hard the road was closed, snow instead we went
to Mauna Loa. It was very fun, and we even got to take some snow back with us.

Before we left, my cousin Jesse stuffed a load of snow down my pants, and I had to sit on it the whole way back home. Fortunately we stopped to take some pictures, and let's just say there was still some cold snow left over that wanted to keep Jesse nice and cool.Unfortunately my Grandma went and killed the snow. (let it melt) I was glad that it at least lived good life and died fighting.

OCC

There's me again at a Operation Christmas Child wrapping party, packing gift filled
shoe boxes.Operation Christmas Child is an organization where
millions of people pack, and send gift filed shoe boxes around the world,
to war torn, and poverty stricken areas. This year I sent a box to a 12
to 14 year boy, and I'm still waiting for a reply.
Altogether our island packed 4,303 boxes. This year where hoping to pack 6,000
shoe boxes.

Geocacheing with friends

This is me, with my friend Alex. We are Geocacheing.
Geocacheing is when someone mark's a spot on their GPS, and then
posts it on the Geocacheing website.
When you find the GC, you can trade out an item,
meaning you put something in, and then you can take one thing out.
You also get to write your name, and date
on the note pad inside the GC.
Just for the record, I was the one who found the GC. The GC we did was medium
difficulty, and hard terrain, and I nearly pooped my pants
on the way back to the car.
